I hear Biotin (both by mouth and applied in shampoo and conditioner) are helpful... I'm pre-band and I am already using Biotin shampoo and conditioner in the hopes that I will be able to retain most of my hair. Good luck!
It does stop, I promise! I'm now the lucky recipient of teeny tiny baby hairs all over my head :) I normally would hate that but I know why they're there and I'm excited to have more hair soon, lol!
I am going through the same problem. I have started taking Biotin (and although early days still) I think it is making a small improvement. I also got my hair cut to try and thicken it up and get rid of all the split ends and unhealthy bits....that has made a difference to.
Yep! Me too !! Every time I wash my hair it's like OMG !!! My surgeon assures me that it will stop to happen soon when my body gets out of the shock of so much weight coming off so quickly. She also reccomended biotin and nioxin line of hair products, but they are very pricey !!! Someone else said tea tree and coconut oil which I will start next week.
Sorry I can't offer too my help on the hair loss, Nicole. But thanks for your nice note on my post today. It was comforting. And congratulations on your great success!
I've just stopped losing hair from the usual postpartum hormonal changes. Egad, I am going to be bald in a few months.
I went back and read all your posts and girl, you are doing amazingly!!! I love the comparison pictures. You should be so proud.
I have also suffered hair loss (and just plain ratty hair due to my band.. sigh) I started using a product called NIOXIN. If you look on my site I have written about it.. with pics to help if you want to get it. It's really helped. I also take tabs with biotin in it.. not much happening there yet but it does say it takes a month for it to kick in so fingers crossed. Try the Nioxin.. nothing to lose. Looking forward to more posts :)

Would you believe at 4 months out I feel like my hair is thicker? I think because I take vitamins religiously now, not so much pre-band?
ReplyDeleteI have heard good news about Biotin and Nioxin.
