I am back from Vacation and trying to get back on track with my 100oz of water and band friendly portions and food. So last night for dinner I made turkey chili in the crock pot.
My husband takes the camera last night to upload our vacations pictures. I hear him taking pictures.
I get an email this morning subject: for your band blog.
He wanted me to show you the 1 cup chili portions. I thought it was hysterical and had to share
excuse the dirty stove :)
haha!! I love those little containers.
ReplyDeleteYummy, I want some! Also, I see NO dirt on the stove lol.
ReplyDeleteYum..... I have been looking for a good chili receipe anyone want to share???
ReplyDeleteI make turkey chili once a week I love it!
ReplyDeleteI get the McCormicks chili packet, follow the instructions. I use ground turkey chili, it calls for a 14oz can of chopped tomoatoes and 1 can of Red Kidney beans. I brown the turkey with an onion and throw it all in the crock pot usually on low when I am at work! yummy
That is exactly how I prepare my food. I cook in rather large amounts, portion it out in individual containers, label it, and into the freezer or fridge it goes! It works.
ReplyDeleteI make turkey chili and use those same little containers. Funny how before I would have put them into a container twice that size! Chili is my all time favorite food.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I use those containers all the time.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a chili fan so I do this with ground beef and marinara sauce.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I do the same thing! BTW, I just caught up on your last few posts and wanted to say how fantastic you look!!! Nice work! :)
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing! It just makes things so much easier. I sometimes move it into a bigger bowl to heat in the microwave and add a little shredded cheese or sour cream. YUM!!!
ReplyDeleteMy chili recipe is a little different and stolen from my mom. She uses one of those big cans of V8 juice as the base. It adds tons of flavor and servings of veggies. Then I add a can of crushed tomatoes (usually chili style), 1-2 cans of beans (normally red kidney), and a basic chili seasoning packet. If I don't use chili style tomatoes I add in onions. We have done this with ground beef, ground turkey, and pork sausage. I am going to try it next with turkey italian sausage which is my new favorite.
I do the same thing! Every Sunday. It is so awesome to have for the work weekend.
ReplyDeleteGood for you -- nice pre-planninig, no wonder you are a success!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet husband! That was really cute of him. Those are cup servings? They look like half cups! Or maybe that's because I have the same containers but in half cups.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'd love to hear your turkey chili recipe. Yummm.
My husband makes the same containers of food for me!!
ReplyDeleteNICE! I agree though.. where's the dirty stove?
